From conversation to approval: a project flow
This guide follows a corporate website redesign. The project channel, the homepage design file and the client approval all move in one place.
1. Conversation
The topic starts in the project channel. A client email is moved in with “Move to channel”, so everyone talks in the same context.
2. File
The designer attaches the first draft. It is saved to the project folder as v1 and shows as a card in the message.
3. Revision
The team opens the file, leaves comments and edits with tracked changes. Comments are discussed in a thread.
4. New version
When fixes are done, “Save version” creates v2. A one-line event appears in the channel; autosaves never flood the chat.
5. Approval
v2 goes to approval. Approvers sign off in order or request changes; compare view opens both versions side by side. The decision is written to the project record.
